Performance and user experience
InMessage is a nice app for chatting with people from Facebook or Instagram, make new friends, date and hang out. This is a perfect opportunity to combine all you like in other messengers: text, pics, gifs, audio and video messages. Drop a line to someone you like!
The app interface is appealing, light and fit the needs of the target audience – I mean, created for chatting. The buttons are of enough size and are suitable for one-hand operation. Screens, functions and buttons are intuitive for experienced and novice users and are clearly visible on the screen. The color theme is pleasant to an eye and chat bubbles can be customized with additional themes. The app is similar to other messengers in operation, so you can start using it right away without any difficulties. My personal rating is 4.5/5.
The app contains several must-have functions for a product created for chatting and dating, the most valuable one is the opportunity to chat with Instagram or Facebook users privately directly from this app. Another useful feature is managing the
list of users, who viewed your profile or tagged you with a “Like” and starting a communication with them. Besides, in the latest inMessage version you can:
- Browse user profiles and start unlimited chatting;
- Discover people with common interests and tastes;
- Use sticker packs to express your emotions;
- Sign up with email address/Instagram/Facebook account with no registration;
- Look for people using inMessage nearby to make offline-friends;
- Manage your block list to prevent unwanted conversations;
- Use Quick-match – swipe left to see and like a profile.
InMessage developers and designers did an excellent job to make app work fast and flawless. I managed to start 5 conversations and send a few files, and everything worked well. This is a very helpful app for those who enjoy chatting with friends and dating interesting people. However, the functions listed aren’t brand new. I recommend it as a stable messenger, but if you look for outstanding perks, fun matching algorithms – give it some time to add all that to newer versions. My mark is 3.5 out of 5.
Performance and user experience
User experience can be considered very good due to a simple and clear interface, well-developed navigation and opportunity to gather your Instagram and Facebook chats at one place. Fast sign-up and super quick navigation between app screens and chats. The only discouraging moment (common for all popular apps of this kind) is a whole lot of fake and trashy profiles who actively try to invite you to webcam activities. My evaluation of app performance is very good – many Android users agree (the average user rating is 4.4). The rating of App Store is also high enough (4.3). The all-in-all mark is 4/5.
At Google Play there is no clear information on Android devices compatibility (varies with device). InMessage requirements for Apple devices are the following: iOS 9.0 or later. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. However, I assume a lot of users with iOS 7.0 and 8.0 don’t feel very optimistic about it. I haven’t found any app API for Windows so far. The devices compatibility score is 3/5.
- Stable performance;
- Unlimited messaging;
- Chatting with Instagram and Facebook profiles.
- No profile moderation – many fakes;
- Not supported by iOS older than 9.0;
- The set of functions could be larger.
InMessage app can be used in addition to Instagram Direct and Facebook Messenger for fast and seamless communication with interesting people. This is a real opportunity for hooking up and dating as you can search users by location, common hobbies and see who viewed or liked your page. I recommend this one for its excellent performance, nice stickers and convenience.
